Taking A Selfie? Use The Timer!
All over the world this very moment there are multiple people taking a selfie! After living in New York City for so many years, it’s nearly impossible to walk through Times Square without almost walking into someone taking a selfie of themselves and the people they are with.
The one thing that I regularly notice is that on iPhone no one really uses the Camera Timer option built into the iOS Camera App. I’ve been using this feature for years and it significantly improves how easy it is to get the perfect photo. It is especially easier for whomever is taking the photo!
To do this:
- Launch the Camera App.
- Flip the camera around so it’s in Selfie Mode.
- Tap the Timer icon and select either the 3 or 10 second timer.
- Tap the shutter button and you will see a countdown start to appear in the bottom right hand corner of your iPhone.
- The phone will take the selfie itself.
- Get in perfect position, and smile for your selfie!
This is quite beneficial so you aren't needing to do the one-arm-awkward let me try to get this perfect photo motion.
So the next time you are going to take a selfie, try the 3 second camera timer. That could make the world of a difference to help you get the perfect shot!
