How To Keep iPhone Cool In Excessive Heat
It’s hot out there folks! Over the next few days across the US it’s estimated for temperatures to top out around 100 + degrees Fahrenheit. So if you are outside, please be mindful of your tech devices!
The iPhone can safely operate in temperatures between -4º to 113º F. The feels like temps over the next few days can top that 113º. If you are outside using your Apple devices in thIs heat, please be cautious to avoid the following things.

Leaving the device in a car on a hot day.
Leaving the device in direct sunlight for an extended period of time.
Using certain features in hot conditions or direct sunlight for an extended period of time, such as GPS tracking or navigation in a car, playing a graphics-intensive game, or using augmented-reality apps.
If you do see the iPhone temperature warning on your device immediately turn it off, move it to a cooler location, and wait at least 15 minutes before turning it back on.
The good news here, is Apple has thoroughly thought things through. There are temperature sensors in your iPhone that will turn off your device before any damage occurs. Additionally, before the phone turns off completely Apple gives you the option to place an emergency call if the phone is still able. Having access to use your iPhone in emergency situations has always been something that Apple takes very seriously.
