Quick Way to Change Apps on iPhone X and Newer
The iPhone has always utilized gestures as a way to get tasks done. Whether it was slide to unlock on the original iPhone, or swiping down to view notifications, Apple enables us to really be productive by a swipe of our finger. One of my favorite gestures since the launch of the iPhone X in 2017 has been the gesture to quickly switch apps.
Now of course ever since Apple took away the home button, we figured out to close an App by the swipe up gesture. There is of course also the option to get to multitasking where we swipe up and hold, to see recently used Applications. But let’s say we want to quickly switch the active app on our screen based on the order they were recently used. To do that we simply swipe from left to right on the home indicator bar at the bottom of our screen.
This gesture will work on iPhone X and newer, and iPad Pro 2018 and newer. Basically any Apple mobile device that has FaceID enables us to interact with our device in this way.
So the next time you need to switch an app, why don’t you give this gesture a try. You won’t need to close the app and relaunch it, the App may be waiting for you a simple swipe away.
Be well everyone! As always, send your questions at me via email.
