Apple One: The Ultimate Bundle
When you buy an Apple product, you’re not only buying a product but rather an experience. Apple One takes that experience to the next level. This past week Apple has officially launched their deeper dive into subscription services with the launch of Apple One! This is a recurring paid service that enables you to get the most out of your Apple product. Now notice how I didn’t simply say the most out of your iPhone. This service reiterates further just how wide of a reach the Apple ecosystem is. Let me explain.
There are 3 priced tiers in the Apple One subscription model.
Apple One can give you and your family unlimited access to:
Apple Music
Apple TV +
Apple Arcade
Apple News +
Apple Fitness (Launching Soon this Year)
and iCloud Storage (2 TB and beyond)
Now I feel that you really get the most out of this service if you are already set up for Apple Family Sharing. Family sharing is a free feature built into iCloud that will allow you to share a service, a song, a movie, etc with up to 5 additional people or iCloud Accounts. Meaning if the main account signs up for the Apple One Premier plan, all 5 additional people under your Family Sharing get the services on their Apple products for free!
To sign up for Apple One is to navigate to the App Store, select your profile upper right, select Subscriptions, tap “Get Apple One”, select your plan, and confirm with the “Subscribe” button at the bottom of the page.
One thing to point out is that if you already subscribed to Apple Music, Apple News +, Apple Arcade, etc and recently paid for your subscription, you will get a prorated refund for the amount left in the billing cycle as you will pay for it again with Apple One.
Here are proper adjustments on my Apple Card. This happened relatively fast after I signed up for the Apple One plan.
I was one of those users who fit in the sweet spot of this subscription. Someone who was set up on Family Sharing, paying for every subscription individually, and on 2 TB of shared iCloud Storage. This top plan is saving me $15.00 a month and $180.00 a year!
Couldn’t recommend this plan enough. The great thing about this model is that when you buy an Apple product, or your family member buys a new Apple product, the experience will continue to get better over time. What an amazing thing to think about with these super computers that we use every day.
